Bateleur Mobile Camp has a traversing area of over 10 000ha in a prime wilderness area, boasting the ‘Big Five’, a large diversity of antelope species, the entire range of smaller predators, over 500 bird species, and a tremendous diversity of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates.

  • Accommodation is in 2,1 x 2,1 adventure bow tents: (maximum of 8 guests)
  • Camping chairs are provided and set up around a fire
  • Ablutions: 2 x Showers 10L bucket; 1 x Toilet: proper toilet seat and enclosure over pit in ground
  • Water provision; 1500 litre steel water trailer and water heating container
  • Kitchen and dining tarpaulin are set up in case of rain
  • There are no electrical charging facilities
  • Camp hand / cook will perform all routine camp work and food preparation

  • Clothing (warm clothing for months May to September)

  • Comfortable walking shoes and gaiters

  • Sleeping bag (bring warmer bag for winter)

  • 2 x 2l Water bottles
  • Snacks to eat whilst out in the field
  • Cash for gate fees and staff gratuities

The no-frills, mobile, tented camp appeals to a market which enjoys more of a ‘camping-style’ safari – where forgoing the luxuries in exchange for incredible experiences is part of the adventure.
